THE event of the year...

Cornerstone events are store-run celebrations of Sorcery, the foundational pieces of the 2025 Organized Play initiative. Each event features a Store Championship, giving players the chance to test their skills, showcase their creativity, and walk away with exclusive rewards found only in the Cornerstone Kits.

But there’s more to Cornerstone events than the clash of spells and steel.

These community gatherings are perfect for trading cards, connecting with fellow Sorcerers, and celebrating your local Sorcery community!

Join us at Digital Heroes for our Cornerstone Event, which will be a Beta Booster Draft!

The Draft format is a true test of skill. Build decks on the spot from a rotating selection of booster packs. Pick a card and pass it on. Harness the chaos, explore emergent strategies within the cards your opponents pass you, and draft a unique and exciting deck.

Players will be set up in pods (as low as 4, but no more than 8). Each player will be given 3 Booster packs to open, but 1 pack at a time. The players will pull a card from the pack and pass the rest of the pack to the person on their left, while receiving a pack from the person on their right. Pack 1 will be passed to the left, pack 2 goes to the person on your right, and pack 3 goes to the left. Once all of the cards have been drafted you will construct a deck using the following guidelines.

• 1 card is your Avatar (which is provided to you, or if you draft one).
• 24 cards make up your Spellbook.
• 12 cards make up your Atlas (again, these cards will be provided, and there are the lands you could potentially draft.)

Once all players have completed their decks, play a Swiss-style tournament with all the players until you have an overall winner. Each round (usually 3 rounds) is a Best of 1 game, and lasts for 60 minutes.

All players will receive a copy of the beautiful alternate art Dispel promo for participating in a Cornerstone Store Championship. 

Two lucky players chosen at random will also receive Magaret Organ-Kean’s Dispel artwork on a playmat! Winners will be chosen between the rounds!

Top 4 finishers will receive a foil copy of the Dispel promo card. This foil version features the Cornerstone watermark to commemorate players’ triumphs at their Cornerstone Store Championship.

The one who emerges as our champion of our Cornerstone event will also receive a Champion Playmat with the Cornerstone artwork by Margaret Organ-Kean, and a special champion prize, a sealed box of Ed Beard Jr.'s DRAGONLORD!

This event isn't for the feint of heart. You will need to bring your very best. Do that, and you could become Champion of the Realm!
