The Guardians' spaceship, Drydock, has been spotted by the Deterrence Research Corporation (DRC), a shadowy organization that is up to no good. The Guardians know that they must keep their existence a secret from the 20th century, so they enlist Spider-Man's help to infiltrate the DRC's headquarters. However, the DRC is prepared for them, and Spider-Man and the Guardians find themselves in a dangerous battle against Hammer and Anvil. In the end, the Guardians are victorious, and they manage to keep their presence in the 20th century a secret.
