Universe X Spidey #1 (2001) is a one-shot comic book that is part of the Universe X crossover event. The issue was written by Jim Krueger and drawn by John Romita and Al Milgrom. It tells the story of an older Peter Parker who is back in web-slinging form, but he's in over his head when he gets caught in a sinister illusion.
Please Note: The comic was distributed to retailers as part of the Marvel First Look program, in which retailers got a copy of the next week's issues. This issue was recalled after it was discovered that artist, Al Milgrom, had hidden a libelous message about the former Marvel Comics editor Bob Harras within the artwork on page 28, panel 3.Â
